Community code data: OBDex, published under CC0-1.0. Dash Decoded filters and reformats a supplied snapshot; it is not the complete current upstream release.
Read the retained data licenseManufacturer-specific entries are separate short definitions and educational summaries with source links. They are not covered by the OBDex CC0 dedication. Source verification means a definition was checked, not that copyright permission or diagnostic accuracy is guaranteed. Reuse review of these entries is ongoing. Five entries derived from a Toyota draft/confidential bulletin have been withdrawn pending review.
Kelley Blue Book and manufacturer service references are external references. Dash Decoded is not affiliated with or endorsed by those publishers. No full service manuals or KBB articles are bundled.
Software & fonts
- Firebase JavaScript SDK — loaded from Google’s CDN. Apache 2.0 and included BSD notices.
- DM Sans — SIL Open Font License 1.1.
- Manrope — SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Fonts are served through Google Fonts. Sign-in uses Google’s pre-approved Android/Web button artwork, obtained from its branding asset package. Google branding is used solely to identify the sign-in service.
Illustrations & development
Vehicle diagrams and the application icon were created in SVG code for this project with OpenAI Codex assistance. AI assisted substantially with application implementation, design, tests and deployment. Competition materials must accurately identify student contributions separately.
Third-party names remain the property of their respective owners. The Dash Decoded project name has not received trademark clearance; owning a domain does not establish trademark rights.
